Cantànima

Diary of a Catholic mathematician.

Another word I wish I'd never heard of

Yet another reason I don't understand why parents buy cell phones for their children, or why they side with their children against school officials.

Yeah, my 12 year-old "hates" me. So what?

Author's philosophy

If Christianity is true, Christians have nothing to fear from the truth. Readers put up with modest translations of hymns and poems from Latin and Italian and the immodest exposition of my undeveloped thoughts, religious and otherwise. See the label index below for more.

Liturgical quote

from the Memorial of St. Agnes, Virgin and Martyr

Ecce, venio ad te quem amavi, quem quæsivi, quem semper optavi.

(Behold, I come to you whom I have loved, whom I have sought, whom I have long preferred.)
...et cantabant quasi canticum novum ante sedem et ante quattuor animalia et seniores et nemo poterat discere canticum nisi illa centum quadraginta quattuor milia qui empti sunt de terra — Revelation 14.3 (in English)
