Alumni fundraising casts too broad a net

I really liked all the universities I attended, and I don't generally mind their fundraising letters. In fact, I usually feel warm with gratitude when I receive them.

That was not the case upon receiving the following email:

The Marymount University Black Alumni Network
needs you at its planning meeting!

My reply began,

Why would they need me? I'm whiter than sunlight, so to speak.

Doubtless this will get me in trouble with someone, but I imagine that the worst that can come of it is that I receive no more fundraising emails.
